The hosts, Ann and Charles, were incredibly welcoming, creating an inviting environment that felt like home. My room was impeccably clean, featuring a wonderfully firm bed that promised restful nights. I enjoyed delicious meals, including a delightful fish and chips dinner and a satisfying breakfast spread. The pub’s central location allowed easy exploration of the picturesque village, with Montacute House just moments away. My experience exceeded all expectations, and I left with a sense of satisfaction, eager to return.
